The Numbers...

Uphill Battle

As the fight for equality in 2011 begins to ramp up & the majority of house seats begin to warm with GOP bottoms, this year promises to be one of further complication, but not of impossibility!

Make this the year to:
  • Get off the couch
  • Come out
  • Speak out
  • Help financially
  • Volunteer

Quoting former President John F. Kennedy, "ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country."

What can YOU DO for our community because now, your voice & actions are needed more than ever!

Standing up (ok, sitting down) for our rights!

Those living in, or interested in the fight for equality in Tennessee can give to the Tennessee Equality Project at http://tnep.org/donate/ and join the mailing list at www.tnep.org to learn about ways to get off the couch, like attending Advancing Equality Day on Tues. March 1st in Nashville!!

To the blog owner :

I just mentioned some TEP events, but also saw that you have noted Cracker Barrel to be an enemy. I'm so happy to tell you that Tennessee Equality Project received a nice financial gift from them to do our work here.

As a former employee who was never discriminated against there, I have been working with them to put more policies in place that will make it a better environment for their LGBT employees and customers.

Just wanted you to know!

Thanks!
