Powerful Message

Thank You President Obama

As we near the end of President Obama's term, our community will  forever remember a most special U.S. leader who rose above fear & intolerance to say, "enough is enough." A man who not only did so much for equality but who made history as the nation's most pro-LGBT president.

We the LGBT community will forever be in debt to your steadfast devotion to "all" American citizens life, liberty & the pursuit of happiness.

As a dark & uncertain chapter is set to begin in American history with the soon swearing in of one of America's most disliked & controversial candidates (lost popular vote by 3 million) & extremist congress since before the American Civil War, We the LGBT community along with various other right's groups will fight to preserve the very rights so many other non minority groups have enjoyed & taken for granted because LGBT rights are NOT special rights.

Rise up & be involved in your future!

DADT's Official Execution Date Set

 60 Days & Counting...

With the stroke of President Obama's pen, the discriminative & destructive DADT has officially begun it's downward spiral into the history books of a shameful & unequal treatment of 1 of America's minority groups.

During the official signing, Obama said, "it undermines our military readiness & violates American principles of fairness & equality."

He went on to say: "In accordance with the legislation that I signed into law last December, I have certified & notified Congress that the requirements for repeal have been met."

DADT officially passes from the law September 20th, 2011.

But, It's The Law...

Defending DOMA...

Barack Obama
Flip Flopper - Tuesday, October 12th, the White House files a notice of appeal with the U.S. District Court in Massachusetts in support of the 1996 Defense Of Marriage Act.

"As a policy matter, the President has made clear he believes DOMA is discriminative and should be repealed," said Justice Department spokeswoman Tracy Schmaler. The Justice Department is defending the statue, as it traditionally does when acts of Congress are challenged."

Once again, as your president, I've decided to make the decision to stand up against you who believed in and supported me & for whom I've promised change and fairness. In doing so, I will remain a coward and defend the discriminative and hateful act known as DOMA.

So much for taking a stand against this statue of injustice, unlike the brave actions of California's republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger & Attorney General Jerry Brown (who's sworn to defend the laws of the state even though they are discriminative)!

And you thought the Democrats where our friends?

To Serve With Pride

White House/Pentagon In Full Support Of 2010 DADT Repeal

LGBT pride flag

Doing What's Right For The Right Reasons.

May 24th - This evening, in a bold move of leadership, the White House and Pentagon have come out in full support of ending DADT by the end of this year.

The promise to repeal the military's discriminative act against gay service members from serving openly was one of President Obama's many campaign promises to our community in the fight for equality.

Let us hope this is a beginning to the end of many discriminative practices against the LGBT community because the time for bigotry and hate must end.

Mr. President, the time to do what's right is long overdue. I commend you for finally growing a spine and taking a stand
(the threat of the 2010 mid term elections doesn't hurt)...
