3/25/09 - Gainesville voters reject repealing protections for the LGBT Community!
In a 58 to 42% count against changing the law, Gainesville sends a powerful message to the bigoted groups like "Citizens For (against) Good Public Policy."
Gainesville will remain a place that continues to welcome everyone know matter who or what your sexual orientation/gender identity may be.
The fight began last year when the city revised it's LGBT protections to include the use of public restrooms to those with gender identity disorder - those who are born one sex but identify as the other.
The message is clear, Gainesville will remain a place of equality...
Send a message to Citizens For (against) Good Public Policy and thank them for keeping the law protecting all of it's citizens unchanged:
