Marriage Equality Comes To Vermont!
In a show of strength against intolerance and bigotry, Vermont becomes the 4th state in the union to pass marriage equality.
With the promised veto by Vermont's Governor Jim Doulgas (R), the Vermont Senate garnered the 2/3rd votes necessary to override it and pass marriage equality. The new law goes into effect September 1st.
Another first for marriage equality is the legislative passage without any lawsuits or court orders. Vermont stands with Massachusetts, Iowa and Connecticut in doing the right thing!
