National Day Of Silence 2009
April 17th - In a message against hate, intolerance and bullying, students in schools around the country will be taking part in the annual "Day Of Silence," a grassroots project of GLSEN and in co-operation with the United States Student Association.
The project was born out of the need for a powerful message against hatred towards LGBT individuals in schools.
During the Day Of Silence, students maintain a verbal silence with many handing out cards explaining why and what is taking place.
